I concede that the beautiful light in the minutes around sunrise and sunset makes the kind of photos that generate oohs and ahhs from viewers, but what about the other 23.5 hours of the day? I believe that when you can’t be with the light you love, you must learn how to love the light you’re with. With a little trickery, it’s easy!
Too much contrast? Go black and white! Find open shade! Use fill flash or a reflector! Try a graduated neutral density filter!
Too little light? Boost the ISO and make “grain-ade!” Let the shadows go! Try that tripod you bought but never use. Use a long shutter speed without a tripod and work the blur! Be the wizard!
